Cupping Massage is a modified version of "cupping therapy," which has been used extensively in Chinese medicine for several thousand years. By creating suction and negative pressure, cupping is used to drain excess fluids, stretch muscle and connective tissue, and loosen adhesions. Combined with traditional Swedish and deep tissue massage techniques, this is a great modality for athletes of anyone who likes really deep pressure with less discomfort. See Hollyce Lunde.

Reflexology uses the principle that massaging particular pressure points on the feet has a reflexive response to corresponding organs, glands and tissues and all areas of the body. Similar to acupressure, reflexology helps restore the flow of energy throughout the body. It can be used to affect a response in an area where regular massage or deep pressure is contraindicated. When reflexology techniques are added to a massage session, it can bring about deep relaxation. See Colleen Silveira.

Swe-Thai Massage fuses the best of Swedish and Thai massages. As in Thai massage, Swe-Thai includes yoga movements and stretches, where energy channels and acupressure points are treated. However, unlike traditional Thai massage, Swe-Thai is practiced on a massage table (not the floor), oil or cream is used to lubricate the body, and classic Swedish massage strokes are used to help prepare the muscles and relax the body. The combination of these opposite styles allows both the relaxation and comfort of Swedish massage and the invigorating testament of stretching and working with energy lines. See Colleen Silveira.
